Model Context Protocol is often described as a standard for connecting models to tools and data. For Flowvenue, its role is broader: MCP becomes the access layer through which an already governed business process can be used by different AI interfaces.
The process does not live inside the AI client
The core business logic does not need to be recreated in every assistant prompt. In Flowvenue, the process is persistent: it owns data, structure, state, steps, decisions, permissions and actions. The AI client can discover and invoke capabilities, while execution remains under runtime control.
Build once, run from any AI
This makes it possible to design a business capability once and use it from multiple environments. The interface can be Flowvenue web chat, an MCP-compatible AI client or another integrated application. The process does not need to be rewritten every time the model changes.
MCP does not replace governance
Exposing a tool does not automatically make it safe for enterprise use. Operations still need roles, permissions, process state, idempotency, approvals, validation and audit. Flowvenue treats MCP as an access protocol for capabilities, not as the place where governance lives.
Read and write: value begins when AI can act
An enterprise MCP server becomes materially useful when it can do more than retrieve information. Within controlled boundaries, AI should be able to create records, update data, start processes, advance instances, handle approvals and interact with connected systems. At that point AI becomes an alternative software interface, not only a conversational search layer.
Why this changes the idea of UI
In traditional software, a capability is often coupled to a screen. With MCP, the interface can become replaceable while the governed capability remains persistent. Users can access the same process through different tools without losing history, state or control.
Flowvenue’s role
Flowvenue is designed to sit at this layer: not to be the model that talks, but the system that makes business processes understandable, executable and governable by authorized AI clients.
